National Water Dashboard
This presentation is on how to use the new USGS National Water Dashboard (NWD). The NWD is a powerful tool that provides real-time data on much more than just streamflow information. In this session you will learn how to use and customize its various aspects so that, as you plan your fly fishing outings, you can “know before you go.”
Toby Welborn, Supervisory Geographer, USGS, based in Portland, OR leads the presentation. Toby has been deeply involved in the project to upgrade the text-based Waterdata site to a more mobile- and user-friendly graphical interface for accessing “all things water” for years. Toby has crafted a presentation especially for McKenzie Flyfishers that focuses on ways to use the NWD to enhance our fly fishing experience.
